Oasis nature gardens
and adventure playground

​Oasis Nature Gardens and Adventure Playground in Stockwell, London, is another wonderful place! It's a place for children and young people to play, make friends, grow food, make compost, get involved with community recycling and much more. There is a kitchen garden AND a forest garden with fruit trees for children to pick fruits from and eat them when they want a brief break from playing. It's also a place where you can learn to cook with ingredients taken from the garden and get to taste recipes from many different parts of the world! All healthy food that provides lots of energy to play and brain power too! 


With the support of the Oasis project manager ​David Ogwe, and Rio Garcia who runs the cooking sessions, we held an afternoon taster filming session with some young people cooking a delicious chicken curry, an equally delicious vegan dish and a fresh salad using some vegetables and herbs grown by young people at the gardens. All ingredients were halal. As is customary for Oasis cooking sessions, the food prepared was served and eaten around a large table of happy people!
