Our team members at the Documentary Film Makers’ Co-operative;

  • have the courage to investigate without compromise complex and nuanced themes and translate them into understandable and compelling films.

  • support marginalised and vulnerable people they come into contact with in the course of their work for the Co-operative.

  • respect the integrity of people who feature in the Co-operative’s films and ensure their ideas and opinions are represented in their original intended contexts.

  • support the fair recompense for all crew and production team members following the sale of any film produced by the Co-operative.

  • listen and learn through all aspects of the production of a film.

  • maintain our independence pertaining to the treatment and development of ideas for the films we produce.

Making a film is a group of people taking a journey together on which they take their audiences with them. We search for deep insights and positive pathways.
